Job Title – Lift Service Engineer
Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading lift specialist with 170 years’ experience. Due to continued success and growth, we require a Lift Service Callout Engineer to cover East and West Sussex.
The successful candidates will have experience working with all types of lifts and controller manufactures, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively. A qualification to NVQ 3 or equivalent is required.
Main duties:
- · Carry out routine servicing, call outs and minor repairs, within a service route area, on all types of electrical and hydraulic goods, passenger and service lifts
- · Efficiently complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts
- · Complete worksheets using company and customer systems
- · Participate in an out of hours on-call rota
- · Conform to and utilise best practice within Health and Safety at all times
Person specification:
- · Qualified to or above NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a lift maintenance
- · Be self-motivated, have great customer service skills and have the ability to show a high standard of workmanship whilst working under minimum supervision
- · Must hold a valid driving licence
- · DBS Checks will be carried out due to the nature of some of customer sites.
- · Ability to proficiently use a handheld device and interact with customer portals for real-time reporting
- · Willingness to able to work as a team & participate in call out rota
- · Good communication skills are required
