In 2017 BT/OpenReach began work to replace existing public switch telephone networks (PSTN) across the United Kingdom with Fibre To The Premises (FTTP). The whole project is due to be completed by the end of 2027.
Unfortunately, the current network of Lift Autodiallers will not work with the new FTTP lines, and the 48vDC power supply that had previously come through the PSTN Lines will no longer work.
Also, the new FTTP lines are no longer backed up by batteries, meaning they no longer comply with EN81-28 regulations for Lift Alarm and Autodiallers.
Pickerings are currently rolling out a range of solutions for our regional and national customers that fully comply with LEIA guidelines. LEIA recommend a GSM gateway which allows mobile communications over the 4g network.
We supply and fit new GSM Gateway Autodiallers that complete “self tests” every 72 hours to comply with EN81-28 regulations and we advise clients to add the system onto an online HUB/portal which logs all calls and activity.
We also supply and manage a range of tariffs on our SIM cards to meet your specific needs and we monitor their suitability to meet your needs.
