We are working with our regional and national customers to connect their lifts to the cloud by utilizing IoT (Internet of Things).
We offer two options:
Non Invasive – A complete non-invasive monitoring system (no hard connection to the controller is required). There are numerous benefits to a “non-invasive” system, including, cheaper installation compared to traditional remote monitoring, minimal installation time, thus meaning less downtime. With the built in sensors we can analyse, trips, trips per landing, vibrations, ambient temperature, door openings etc. These metrics can be used to utilize/understand traffic patterns, forecast any future capital expenditure works etc.
Invasive –With an invasive system, the monitoring unit will directly connect to the lift controller. This will allow full transparency of the workings of the lift continuously and of course remotely. By utilizing controller outputs, we can see the status of the lift, position of the lift, load weigh, fault codes etc. We also have the opportunity to call and send the lift remotely as well as many other features. These types of “invasive” packages will come as standard on our new lift / full modernization packages. We can also use this technology on existing portfolios/lifts.
Portal Reporting – The data from your lifts can issue service reports, condition reports and provide real time alerts regarding any anomalies to relevant team members. This allows for predictive maintenance callouts which prevent lift breakdowns before they happen.
